Kulturlos Campaign – feykaherr

kulturlos was and is a multimedia and multidimensional campaign during and after the ongoing Corona crisis as well as an inclusive and involving initiative of various cultural institutions and cultural practitioners from Freiburg.


kulturlos does not offer any hasty answers in these times, but rather a common, long-lasting platform for socially relevant questions about how we can look back on the crisis positively and productively through culture, as well as how we can look forward. Through this trying time, one question in particular defines how we, as mankind have handled a global pandemic: Wer werden wir gewesen sein? (Who will we have been?)


All actors in the city were and are encouraged and called upon to support culture and underpin its importance. “kulturlos” (without culture) became Kultur, los! (Culture, let’s go!) as the summer gave the first signs of life after the pandemic with the introduction of the Kulturlos Festival! From this, Kulturlabor (Culture laboratory) was born, where various events continue to pose the interesting questions and celebrate culture within Freiburg.


The campaign comprised of posters around the city, a website explaining the concept and how the public can get involved to support culture, a newsletter and social media, a Spotify playlist, and finally a music festival in summer.


Project was completed whilst I was under the employ of Feykaherr, Freiburg im Breisgau.
